Attendance management
Shift scheduling and team rotations: a practical method
Fixed, flexible, split and night shifts, three-shift rotations, minimum staffing and weekly rest: building a schedule that keeps attendance figures right.
Shift scheduling
The schedule is the reference for every calculation: Tempo compares each punch with the shift planned for that day. Fixed or flexible hours, split shifts, night shifts, three-shift rotations: you describe your organisation once and Tempo applies it to each employee.

A shift is a working time band (for example 08:30–17:30) with its break, short code and colour. It can be fixed or flexible, run overnight, or be split into two services. For each shift you set the minimum number of people expected.
A cycle repeats shifts: a standard Monday-to-Sunday week, or a rotation over N days from a first day (three shifts, 2 days on / 2 off, 4/3…). The “works on public holidays” option applies to teams that keep the service running.
A cycle is assigned to employees from a date: the previous cycle stops the day before and history is kept. Changing a cycle recalculates the days concerned.

About the conflict thresholds
The thresholds (11 h rest, 48 h per week) are planning warnings, not an interpretation of labour law. Check the rules that apply to your company with your adviser.
Tempo offers Morocco’s public holidays for the year. Religious holidays depend on the lunar calendar: their dates are marked “estimated” and must be confirmed at the official announcement each year.
Since 20 September 2026, Morocco’s legal time is GMT with no daylight saving (decree no. 2.26.530). Tempo calculates times from the offset carried by each terminal event and warns you if the terminal is set to another time zone.
Yes. A night shift (for example 22:00–06:00) belongs to a single working day, and punches after midnight count in that day.
Yes: in the planner, a cell can receive another shift or a rest day; “return to cycle” removes the exception.
