Biometric attendance and employee privacy: practical points in Morocco
Law 09-08, CNDP authorisation, informing employees, alternatives, template storage and retention: what an employer should plan before biometric attendance.
Security and administration
Attendance data is used to pay salaries: it must be accurate, protected and recoverable. Tempo limits who sees and changes what, records every sensitive action in a trail whose integrity can be checked, and verifies each backup by reopening it.

Five roles are predefined — owner, HR manager, supervisor, reception, report viewer — and you can create custom roles. A supervisor only sees their departments; personal information (phone, national ID, address) is hidden from most roles. The national ID number is encrypted.
Every sensitive action is logged: who changed what, when, before and after, and why. Entries are chained together; “Verify integrity” detects a change or a deletion in the trail.

On the company’s PC. Tempo needs no internet and sends nothing: no cloud, no telemetry, no update check. Atlaxys Consulting has no remote access to your data and receives no copy, unless you send a backup or a diagnostic file to support (the diagnostic contains no personal data).
Faces and fingerprints stay on the terminals. An encrypted copy in Tempo exists only if the employer turns the option on; it is off by default. See biometrics and privacy.
